The Game of Red Dog Poker
The Red Dog Poker table is played on a tabe resembling that of a Blackjack table and not like other poker tables.
The dealer deals each player 2 cards. The lesser of the 2 cards are placed on the left and the higher of the 2 on the right. The 3rd card will go in the middle the object of the game is to bet if the card will fall between the 2 cards. I do not mean that the dealer will throw a card and if it physically lands between them (but that does sound like a great game) what I mean is if the card on the left is a 5 and the card on the right is a 9 you have to bet on if the next card will be a 6,7 or an 8. the difference of the 1st 2 cards is referred to as the spread, so a 5 and a 9 have a spread of 3. The smaller of a spread the larger the payoff.
The face cards have different values in Red Dog Poker a Jack is equal to 11, a Queen is equal to 12, a King is 13 and an Ace is 14.In the game of red dog poker some of the cards have different values a jack is 11 a queen is 12 a king is 13 and an ace is 14.
Should the first to cards dealt to any player be the same that hand is a push. The dealer will still deal the Red Dog Poker player a third card if that card should also be the same the player will win 36 times the amount he bet, and if it is not the player gets his bet back.
The procedure for Red Dog Poker are relatively easy. The first thing is to place your bet. The dealer will then deal the first 2 cards. This is when the player can decide to fold or to raise the bet. If the player chooses to raise the bet the dealer will then deal a third card if it is within the spread the player wins.
