How to Play Johnny 5
Johnny 5 is a card game that can be learned relatively fast. The object of Johnny 5 is to make a hand that totals 5 or less and the lowest hand wins.
The way you play is the dealer will deal 5 cards face down to each player. During each turn a player must discard then pick up a card. Cards can be thrown down by ones or in pairs triples whatever you have. You can also throw down a straight.
In Johnny 5 aces are valued at 1 and jokers are valued at anything including 0. And face cards are 10's. So a player will want to get rid of his higher cards first. When a Johnny 5 player discards he can take the top card from the deck or the top card from the discard pile. If the last player threw down a straight the next player may take the top card or the bottom card of the straight so if I toss a 7, 8, 9 and 10 of diamonds the next player can take the 7 or the 10.
The betting is easy in Johnny 5 whatever the winning player has each player has to give him a pre-determined amount for every point your hand is over the winners hand. So if I go out with a 4 and win and in your Johnny 5 hand you have a king a 5 and a 3 you have 18 so if we were playing for a dollar a point you would owe me 14 dollars.
Johnny 5 is a relatively fast paced game and lots of fun.
