The fifth season of the Sopranos is in full swing on HBO. With several of the characters from the show cashing in on the show success they finally decided to license a new video game.
With the absolute saturation of poker games available for mobile devices this game brings nothing new to the table. It is a competent game but it is unexciting poker game that is relying on the shows popularity to make it successful. Games like these are very frustrating because the license does not have any real affect on the play mechanics at all; its only purpose is to make money. Fans of the show will be upset after downloading the game just to find some unblinking resemblances of the show main characters.
With many better ideas for games dealing with the sopranos TV show I do not understand to make just another ordinary poker sim.
The mechanics of the game are good you can even cheat a little like any wise guy may do and peek at the other players cards but the most exciting things in the game is after winning a big hand Silvio did stand up and say "this guy cheats" and you could go to the pawn shop and sell your watch for money to stay in the game.
All in all I did not like this game there are many other better games out there and I would not recommend this game to anyone.
