Brits will spend approximately 173 million pounds over the next 2 months at sportsbook online and land based during the World Cup.

The average lottery player spends 27 pounds and it is expected that gamblers will spend an average of 35 pounds on the World cup, and many more people are expected to take place in the betting.
A survey shows that men are spending much more of their earnings the women. Males spend around 25% of their monthly wages and ladies only spend about 10% or their pay.
Statistically speaking people in the north east are larger gamblers, spending about 47 pounds a month. Even though their team is not in the match they will still be bet on the World cup and glued to the TV to watch it.
