Poker tables can come in different designs and variations. You can buy a new or a used poker table, and you can build one by yourself. Here you can learn how to convert a simple dining table into a poker table.
Table Size:
The size of your home poker table has to fit the maximum number of participants in a poker game. The maximum width of the table should be 48 inch; otherwise, it may be difficult to find a fabric to cover it in one peace. The recommended height is 28-29 inches. The table length can range between 72 inch and 110 inch
Table Cover:
A banquet table with folding legs can be an ideal base for a home poker table. The table should be covered with table padding, carpet padding or closed-cell foam. The table cover protects the table from spills. In addition, it is easier to move the cards off a plastic wrapped table. The table padding will be covered with a poker cloth, a billiard felt, or other fabrics such as denim, velveteen, or a car headliner.
Rails:
For adding rails to your poker tables, you can cut down some swimming pool noodles or pipe insulation and tape them. Another option is to construct a removable railing from wood, foam padding, and vinyl. The rails should be between 3 inch and 5 inch.
