Playing razz is similar to playing seven card stud poker except that in razz the player with the lowest five card poker hand wins the game. Razz Rules


Razz is played exactly like seven card stud poker except a few differences. The best possible hand is A,2,3,4,5. In the razz poker game, as opposed to seven card stud game, the player with the highest card makes the forced bet on the first round. The players with the lowest hands are opening every other betting rounds.


Hand Ranking


According to razz hand ranking, the aces are ranked as the lowest cards. The best possible five card poker hand is a wheel %u2013 A,2,3,4,5 of the same suit. Straights and flushes are meaningless.


Razz Strategy


Comparing to other poker games such as seven card stud or Texas Holdem for example, razz is a simple, straightforward game. Since you can usually appreciate the value of your opponents hands just from looking at their face up cards, playing razz does not require using much of bluffing.
